Installing the Sample Add-On Components

• Dashboards is installed.

• Dashboards Component SDK is installed.

Dashboards includes several sample add-ons that were created using the Component SDK. When you

install Dashboards with the Component SDK, the sample files are saved in the Dashboards program

folder in the path: ...\Xcelsius 4.0\SDK\Samples. Each add-on sample includes the add-on file

(.xlx file type) and all the source files for the add-on.

You can add the Dashboards Component SDK samples to Dashboards using one of the following

methods:

• Use the Dashboards Add-On Manager.

For more information about the integrated Add-On Manager, refer to the "Customizing Dashboards

with Add-Ons" section in the

SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards User Guide

• Use the command-line version of the Add-On Manager to install each of the sample add-on (.xlx)

files.
